Bridging the Digital Divide — One Person at a Time

With over 20 years in the corporate tech world, working with global leaders like Google, Amazon, and Electronic Arts, I thrived on the challenges and fast-paced environment. But something was missing… the chance to make a real, personal difference by helping people use technology in their everyday lives.

In 2019, I founded Basic Tech with a simple mission: to make technology accessible for everyone. I began by delivering free tech classes to older Australians in my community, and during the COVID-19 lockdowns I saw first-hand how vital these skills were for staying connected.

Since then, I’ve delivered over 1,000 tech classes and have been commissioned by organisations including Gold Coast City Council, Ipswich City Council, private financial services firms, and retirement communities to run ongoing workshops. These sessions are designed to educate, empower, and assist anyone using technology, not just those over 65.

I recommend, set up, install, troubleshoot, and educate on all types of technology – from everyday devices to specialised assistive technology that supports independence and accessibility. As an expert in this field, I have earned the trust and ongoing business of over 16 aged care providers, retirement communities, and private clients who value the personalised, patient, and practical support I deliver.

We service clients from Northern New South Wales, Gold Coast and up to the Northern Brisbane areas.

Note: All onsite work and consultations are billed as a minimum of one (1) hour, then in 30 minute increments thereafter.
